This article concerns a party that was held, at the Lahaska Church, on March 31, 1932. 

It was called a "depression party", and members were supposed to come dressed in the worst worn out clothing that they had! 

The Epworth League was a youth group of the Methodist Church, founded in Cleveland, Ohio, in 1889. 

It was named for the birthplace of John Wesley......Epworth, Lincolnshire, England.
